A Letter from Dr. Gundry
Hi. My name is Dr. Steven Gundry and I’m so excited you’re here! If you want to improve your health, get in shape, and achieve a long, happy life...
Let me be the first to welcome you. (You’re most certainly in the right place!)
I’ve worked in medicine for over 50 years and am proud to be known as one of America’s preeminent heart surgeons.
My colleague Leonard Bailey and I performed more infant and pediatric heart transplants than anyone else in the world. I’ve also had the privilege to operate in over 30 countries – including charitable missions to China, India, and Zimbabwe.
Then in 2001, I met a so-called “hopeless” patient suffering from heart disease. By making some unusual changes in his diet – almost by chance – this man made a complete turnaround.
In working with him, I made some major discoveries that changed the course of my career. I learned about some key nutrients that are deficient in the American diet, as well as some staple household foods which are actually toxic to the human body.
When I first met this “lost cause” patient, I was dangerously overweight myself. I had high blood pressure, bad cholesterol, digestive issues, and my body felt weak.
I ran 30 miles a week and ate a low-fat, vegetarian diet. Yet no matter what I did, the weight just wouldn’t budge. I started to worry that my best years were behind me...

About Gundry MD
Think of your body like an apartment complex.
You’re the landlord, and the trillions of tiny bugs are your tenants.
Some of those bugs are “good” tenants. They help manage your digestion, boost your energy production, and power your immune system to keep you from getting sick.
But some of those bugs are “bad” tenants. These include pathogens that can cause illness and harmful yeasts that can wreck your digestion or make you gain weight.
The lectins, sugars, artificial sweeteners, and other additives found in many modern foods can jeopardize your microbiome and keep you from feeling your best.
To help restore your body to optimum health and wellness, you need to be taking care of your good bugs.
And every product from Gundry MD is designed with this purpose in mind. Whether it’s a nutritional supplement to help your gut bacteria thrive…
A skin treatment to support the healthy bacteria that live on the outside of your body…Or any of the other cutting-edge innovations currently in our catalog.
And that’s holobiotics in a nutshell. It’s all about taking care of your good bugs. Because if you take care of them… they will take care of you!
